A BIG Thank You

As you may have heard, each year, the team at Phorest try to give a little back to the local community. Last year we raised over €4,500, rolled up our sleeves and (in keeping with our namesake) restored a dilapidated garden at a hospital for patients suffering from dementia.

Well, this year the Phorest team were back at it again. For 3 days in August, the entire team (From Sales to Support) went out to Cuan Aoibheann at St Mary’s Hospital in the Phoenix Park and completely renovated another unkempt garden.

If you were wondering what exactly Cuan Aoibheann is: well, the hospital is an adult disability unit which provides multidisciplinary care including: Nursing, Medical, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics. The ethos of this unit is to create an environment conducive to the physical and psychological well being of the patients, whilst maintaining their independence and dignity.

Thank You!

The gardens of Cuan Aoibheann were in severely bad shape and the hospital simply did not have the resources to focus on it. So this year through online fundraising, a giant raffle, an awesome Table Quiz (and even a Superman Live Reading Event!) the Phorest Team managed to raise €5,000 in order to restore the grounds back to their former glory (A Make-Over if you will 😉 ).

We want to give a BIG THANK YOU to all of our Clients, Peeps, Peers, Colleagues & Family who donated their time and effort to helping us realise our goal!

(Oh, by the way, we are still raising money for the hospital itself at the moment. If you would like to donate, please Click Here To Visit The Donations Page)

As a special treat, we have put together a video of our efforts so that you can see where your kind donations actually went to:

Pretty fab, right!? What did you think of the music? Did you know the singer is actually Gary O’Neill from our Sales Team! If you liked it, let Gary know by dropping a ‘Bravo’ in to the comments below. 🙂

Thanks for reading (and watching)
