Akina in Kent is Phorest Star Salon for Autumn 2008

Phorest launched the UK's first online booking service for salons in January this year called myzanadoo.co.uk. The service has been growing exponentially since then and there are now nearly 200 salons using it every day.

The most successful salon so far is Akina in Rochester, Kent. Akina is our Star Salon for Autumn 2008 and the girls in there are now averaging 100 online bookings a month.

Danni Brockwell, Akina's owner says "The online booking service is brilliant. It has freed up reception time to focus on clients. In fact some clients have even told me it is the easiest online booking facility they have ever used on the internet for anything."

So whats Danni's secret? Well apart from linking to it from her website. Danni put her online booking address underneath her salon name on her sign outside so everyone can see it driving past.

Ronan Perceval, MD of Phorest says "myzanadoo is a brilliant customer service tool because it allows the consumer to book a salon appointment whenever they feel like it - day or night. When someone gets the idea in their head that they want to book an appointment they like to do it then and there - there is nothing more frustrating than leaving a voicemail and having to wait, sometimes all day for a call back ."
