Our employees build web based software tools for the salon and spa industry. Our team also operates a fast growing online booking engine for salons in multiple countries. In June 2011, Forbes Magazine called Phorest the leading Salon Software company in the UK and Ireland.

We have recently closed a large funding round and are actively seeking enthusiastic and ambitious people to join our teams in Dublin and London. Sales Executive

We are looking for a target driven and passionate Sales Executive who will be on the road meeting prospective clients. You will be talking to them about their business, understanding their concerns and showing them how Phorest's 4 Easy Steps can have an immediate impact on their business. 

Applicants will need the following knowledge and skills:

Marketing Manager

Salary OTE: €40k+

Phorest seeks an inquisitive and enthusiastic Marketing Manager who is passionate about social media, brand positioning and effective sales marketing communications. The successful candidate will have good experience working closely with sales and developing marketing material to enhance the sales process. Experience in a Hair & Beauty, Internet or high tech company is a bonus. This position is located in our Head Office in Dublin.

Responsabilities

  • Partner effectively with internal Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Design, Communications and Sales teams to ensure world-class marketing communications for all Phorest products to Beauty & Hair Salons and Beauty & Hair Consumers.
  • Lead and develop content (Mailshots, Web, Sales Packs) that can be used by sales teams to generate new business, educate clients on new products/features and engage clients on innovative ways to drive awareness/sales via social marketing techniques.
  • Develop world class advertising messaging, campaigns and product launches.
  • Identify and develop stories about our salon customers that further Phorest's commitment to growing salon businesses.
  • Drive product adoption and product usage rates through scalable marketing programs and product launch support.
  • Develop thought-leadership materials, such as the Phorest Blog designed to enhance salon owners understanding of how to market and grow their business and adopt new Phorest tools.
  • Develop data and metrics that help drive up our online marketing campaigns through mediums such as SEO and adwords.
  • Develop and enhance our Twitter and Facebook campaigns.
  • Evangelize our best practices to our clients and partners via events, webinars and other direct client communications channels.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • 3+ years professional experience.
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing marketing strategies in an Internet, technology (consumer or B2B) and/or advertising environment (experience working across more than 1 market a plus).
  • Candidate MUST demonstrate strong online and social media experience.
  • Hair or Beauty experience a plus.
  • Expertise supporting and enabling a sales organization is preferred.
  • Self starter with strong process, project management and decision-making skills with successful experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding analysis and communications skills.
  • Creative flair to bring fresh ideas to product positioning and marketing campaigns.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment.
  • Minimal travel.

Senior Web Developers

We have a number of web development roles open to work on our integrated booking platform. You will work in an agile, start up environment and successful applicants will be given large areas of responsibility, working with the latest tools and technology.

Essential competencies

  • Excellent problem solving capabilities
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self driven, motivated and passionate about user experience.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and keep up to date with new product developments
  • Flexibility and adaptability in approaching customer and business needs

Required Skills

  • Excellent understanding of Web technologies: HTTP protocol, RESTful Architecture, Stateless and stateful programming.
  • Ruby on Rails/JRuby
  • JQuery/JavaScript/CSS experience
  • Database design plus knowledge of RDBMS systems
  • Operational knowledge on Unix (Linux)
  • At least one scripting language (Perl, Python etc)

Hightly Desirable

  • Experience of Amazon Web Services
  • Background in server side Java (Spring etc)
  • Experience using JRuby
  • Past experience working on a large scale website.
  • Experience of Facebook connect/API
  • Appreciation of NoSQL/KeyValue storage and Message based Architecture.

Job Description

  • Responsibility for the development of business/retail critical systems.
  • Design and develop web applications, backend and frontend, using Ruby On Rails and/or other best-fit technologies.
  • Develop using Lean and Agile methodologies
  • Integrate with existing teams using REST APIs
  • Experience of Facebook connect/API
  • Appreciation of NoSQL/KeyValue storage and Message based Architecture.
