9 Surprisingly Effective Salon Board Ideas

Street Board Marketing. Little messages to passers-by that feature a call-to-action. Usually these involve the phrase ‘come in’ or ‘we’re open’ or perhaps they give a list of what the business has to offer.

This can really help attract the attention of the passing public. But what if you wanted to add a little more flavour and fun to your salon board? Something that will make a person stop in their tracks and even snap a quick photo to share with their friends on social media.

Well, we have put together a little collection of amusing, witty & downright absurd shop boards that will entertain & engage passers-by (when browsing through these slides, just imagine how you can re-purpose some of them for your salon).

So there it is! What do you think? Some pretty good stuff right? Now I know that some of these are for restaurants and shops. But with a little shuffle, you can easily put a salon twist on the phrasing!

And if you are concerned about coming up with amazing, unique content, how about trying this out: why not request clients to tweet in statements for your salon board?

You can then write the statement onto the board and credit the tweeter.

So something like this:

A benefit of this would be that the people who contribute will be quicker to share the photo, which means more brand exposure for you.

I would say a good way to kick this off is by getting friends, colleagues or co-workers to tweet you a quick statement. That way, people on the street can see it in action.

So, what do you think? Would any of these ideas work for you? Do you have a favourite? Or have you seen other ones that you would like to share?
