It&#8217;s one thing to make the resolution of meeting up with members of your team, but\u00a0it&#8217;s another thing to conduct these meetings in an efficient manner. So whether you don&#8217;t know where to start or you simply want to increase their\u00a0efficacy, here&#8217;s some guidance on how to conduct amazing one-to-one staff feedback meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12646\" src=\"https:\/\/d2dfxqxblmblx4.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/18144944\/the-importance-of-11-meetings-and-check-in-sessions.png\" alt=\"staff feedback meetings\" width=\"600\" height=\"200\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Idea Behind One-To-One Staff Feedback Meetings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In general, meetings are great for establishing procedures, giving business updates, motivating your team and providing a time to brainstorm. But why bother with individual meetings?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Simple. They allow you to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Give every employee their required targets<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Talk about their personal journies within your business<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Discuss training &amp; interests<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Help you build a relationship with them<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Improving the way you communicate with every employee&nbsp;makes everything smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding Your Employees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First, I want you to picture this scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You call your staff up for an informal update. From now on, everyone is required to put into action an idea of yours to add a special touch to your customer service.&nbsp;Everyone agrees. A week later, however, you check-in on your team and realise no one is following through with your request.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Sounds familiar? Why do you think this happens?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Every person is different, and interprets things differently. Not all priorities are the same for everyone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, if you give me instructions or recommendations and I don&#8217;t understand where you&#8217;re coming from, I probably won&#8217;t feel the urge to act upon them. When initiating change, you need to consider the people you&#8217;re talking to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Personality Test To Help You Manage Staff<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the past three months, every team in Phorest attended a full-day <a href=\"https:\/\/discprofile.com\/\">DiSC workshop<\/a>. Explained simply, the DiSC profile is a <strong>non-judgemental tool used to discuss people&#8217;s behavioural differences, improve work productivity, and enhance teamwork communication<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While we did a full-day professional training, you can find similar free tests online, here for instance.\u00a0If you&#8217;re willing to give it a shot, why not have every member of your team to take the test (this online version takes between 10-15 minutes to fill out)?
