Am zweiten Tag des Salon Owners Summit veranstalteten Fry Taylor von <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greensaloncollective.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green Salon Collective<\/a> und Professor Denise Baden, Professor f\u00fcr nachhaltiges Wirtschaften an der Universit\u00e4t Southampton, einen Workshop, in dem genau das erkl\u00e4rt wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die Auswirkungen der Industrie auf unsere Umwelt kennenlernen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zu Beginn des Workshops betrat Fry Taylor, Mitbegr\u00fcnder der Salon-Abfallmanagement-Organisation &#8220;Green Salon Collective&#8221;, die B\u00fchne und erl\u00e4uterte den Unterschied zwischen Kreislauf- und Linearwirtschaft. Eine lineare Wirtschaft, so beschrieb er, ist eine Industrie, die aus unseren nat\u00fcrlichen Ressourcen sch\u00f6pft. Eine Kreislaufwirtschaft ist eine Branche, die die verbrauchten Ressourcen st\u00e4ndig zur\u00fcckgibt und recycelt und die Umwelt weniger belastet. Die Friseurbranche wird derzeit leider als lineare Wirtschaft eingestuft. Das Ziel von Green Salon Collective ist es, sie in eine Kreislaufwirtschaft umzuwandeln.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Der Kreislaufgedanke wirkt sich sowohl auf die Gewinne als auch auf den Planeten aus.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fry Taylor erkl\u00e4rte folgendes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>90 % der Verbraucher:innen der Generation Z erwarten von Marken, dass sie mehr f\u00fcr die Umwelt tun.<br><\/li><li>85 % der Verbraucher:innen der Generation Z wollen pers\u00f6nlich etwas f\u00fcr den Umweltschutz tun.<br><\/li><li>In einer Studie des British Beauty Council aus dem Jahr 2021 wuchsen die zweckgerichteten Marken von Unilever doppelt so schnell wie die nicht zweckgerichteten Marken im gleichen Zeitraum.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Green Salon Collective ver\u00e4ndert den Umgang der Branche mit Abfall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Wie lange dauert es, bis sich Haarfolien nach der Deponierung zersetzen?&#8221;, fragte Taylor. Nachdem das Publikum einige Antworten genannt hatte, teilte er den verbl\u00fcfften Zuh\u00f6renden mit, dass Haarfolien derzeit 300-500 Jahre brauchen, um sich auf Deponien abzubauen, und oft giftige Chemikalien in die Umwelt freisetzen, selbst wenn sie in einer Recyclingtonne landen. Haarabf\u00e4lle sind \u00e4hnlich sch\u00e4dlich, fuhr er fort und erkl\u00e4rte, dass Haare, die nicht ordnungsgem\u00e4\u00df entsorgt werden, giftiges Methangas in die Umwelt freisetzen, das erheblich zur globalen Erderw\u00e4rmung beitr\u00e4gt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um die Auswirkungen sch\u00e4dlicher Salonabf\u00e4lle zu verringern und sie ganz zu beseitigen, bietet Green Salon Collective eine Reihe von salonspezifischen Abfallmanagementl\u00f6sungen in Gro\u00dfbritannien und in Irland an, darunter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Recycling von Haarfolien: <\/strong>Hier werden Str\u00e4hnchenfolien aus dem Salon gesammelt, gereinigt und unendlich oft recycelt, so dass gar kein Abfall mehr anf\u00e4llt.<br><\/li><li><strong>Recycling von Haarabfall:<\/strong> Green Salon Collective recycelt derzeit Haare auf 10 verschiedene Arten und stellt daraus alles M\u00f6gliche her, von Schw\u00e4mmen f\u00fcr \u00d6lkatastrophen bis hin zu Seilen, F\u00e4den und sogar Stoff!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fry Taylor holte eine Auswahl von Produkten hinter dem Podium hervor und reichte eine Vielzahl dieser aus Haarabf\u00e4llen hergestellten Produkte herum, damit das Publikum sie anfassen und aus der N\u00e4he betrachten konnte. &#8220;Es ist erstaunlich, was man damit alles machen kann&#8221;, bemerkte er zu einem Publikum, das ganz seiner Meinung war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich und der Schweiz bietet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hair-help-the-oceans.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hair Help the Oceans<\/a> einen Recycling-Service f\u00fcr Haarabfall an.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/d2dfxqxblmblx4.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/08113924\/1IMAGE_20240108_8214-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"2 M\u00e4nner im Publikum sehen sich an, was aus Haarabfall gefertigt werden kann.\" class=\"wp-image-139060\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d2dfxqxblmblx4.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/08113924\/1IMAGE_20240108_8214-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/d2dfxqxblmblx4.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/08113924\/1IMAGE_20240108_8214-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/d2dfxqxblmblx4.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/08113924\/1IMAGE_20240108_8214-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/d2dfxqxblmblx4.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/08113924\/1IMAGE_20240108_8214-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/d2dfxqxblmblx4.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/08113924\/1IMAGE_20240108_8214.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Praktische Ratschl\u00e4ge f\u00fcr sp\u00fcrbare Ver\u00e4nderungen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach einer Runde Applaus f\u00fcr Taylor betrat Professor Denise Baden die B\u00fchne. Mit ihrem Hintergrund in der Forschung zum Klimawandel und ihrer derzeitigen Position als Professorin f\u00fcr Nachhaltigkeit an der Universit\u00e4t von Southampton in Gro\u00dfbritannien brachte sie eine Reihe praktischer Ratschl\u00e4ge f\u00fcr Salonbesitzer:innen mit. Sie begann mit einer Definition des Begriffs &#8220;CO2-Fu\u00dfabdruck&#8221; und erkl\u00e4rte, dass sich dieser auf &#8220;die Treibhausgase bezieht, die zur Unterst\u00fctzung menschlicher Aktivit\u00e4ten erzeugt werden&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Baden erkl\u00e4rte, dass der Gebrauch von hei\u00dfem Wasser eine der kohlenstoffintensivsten Aktivit\u00e4ten ist, sowohl im Haushalt als auch im Salon. Sie riet den Salonbesitzer:innen, diese Auswirkungen zu verringern, indem sie:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Herunterdrehen der Temperatur von Duschen oder Wasserh\u00e4hnen im Salon<\/li><li>Installation von bel\u00fcfteten Duschk\u00f6pfen, die die Wassermenge, die aus der Dusche\/dem Wasserhahn kommt, reduzieren<\/li><li>Ermutigung der Kundschaft, 1-2 Mal pro Woche Trockenshampoo zu verwenden, um die Wassermenge zu reduzieren, die zum Waschen der Haare ben\u00f6tigt wird.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was macht ein umweltfreundliches Produkt aus?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Baden fragte die Zuh\u00f6renden, was sie unter einem umweltfreundlichen Produkt verstehen w\u00fcrden. Die Zuh\u00f6rer antworteten begeistert und nannten Merkmale wie &#8220;nat\u00fcrliche Inhaltsstoffe&#8221;, &#8220;wiederverwertbare Verpackung&#8221; und &#8220;biologisch abbaubar&#8221;. Professor Baden stimmte dem zu, erkl\u00e4rte aber auch, dass hinter der Umweltfreundlichkeit mehr steckt, als viele zun\u00e4chst denken. Viele Unternehmen behaupten, umweltfreundliche Produkte anzubieten, aber es handelt sich um &#8220;Greenwashing&#8221;, d. h. sie benutzen Umweltfreundlichkeit als Marketingbegriff und nicht als Engagement f\u00fcr die Umwelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Damit ein Produkt wirklich umweltfreundlich ist, nannte Professor Baden die folgenden Merkmale:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Das Produkt\/Ger\u00e4t\/die Technologie muss bei seiner\/ihrer Verwendung Energie sparen.<\/li><li>Das Produkt muss bei seiner Verwendung weniger Wasser\/Energie verbrauchen.<\/li><li>Die Marke\/das Unternehmen, die\/das das Produkt herstellt, muss f\u00fcr ihre Umweltfreundlichkeit bekannt sein, d. h. sie\/es verwendet recycelbare Materialien als Verpackung und vermeidet umweltsch\u00e4dliche Inhaltsstoffe.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gemeinsame Nutzung von Ressourcen, um einen positiven Einfluss auszu\u00fcben<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zum Abschluss des Workshops stellte Professor Baden eine Reihe von Ressourcen vor, die Saloninhaber:innen und anderen Fachleuten aus der Branche dabei helfen k\u00f6nnen, ihre Bem\u00fchungen um Nachhaltigkeit zu verbessern und ihr Unternehmen &#8220;gr\u00fcner&#8221; zu machen.
