How Can Watching Netflix Help Me Grow My Salon Business?

It was a long day at work and you are delighted to get home. After the dinner is all done and the kids are tucked away, it’s finally some ‘me-time,’ right? Who wants to work on salon business?

If you are anything like me, ‘me-time’ involves crashing onto the couch, putting on a film or a show and then proceeding to play with my phone until it’s time to go to bed!

This is such a great time to relax and charge up for the next day. However, it’s also a great time to grow your salon business as well!

Don’t believe me? Well, allow me to explain:

Grow Your Salon Business While Watching Netflix

While you sit there, casually playing with your phone while Orange Is The New Black rattles on in the background, you are missing an amazing opportunity to connect with your clients, grow your online audience and boost your salon business.

And best of all, this can be accomplished without too much effort as well.

7 Ways To Grow Your Salon Business While You Chill

1.) Schedule your social posts for the week: Did you know that you can schedule posts to go out on Facebook in advance? Why put yourself through the stress of having to post manually Every Single Day? Instead, just relax on the couch and casually organise your week’s social content in advance.

2) Grow Your Twitter or Instagram followers: This one couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is lounge on the couch, find a competitor’s social account and then follow their followers. And that’s it!

When you follow someone on Twitter or Instagram, there is a high chance that they may follow you back. Think of it as simply saying hello at a dinner party (Albeit, a large dinner party 😉 ). This also works for a variety of different social accounts as well. Like perhaps a local Beauty or Lifestyle Blogger. Which leads us nice and neatly to number 3 >>>

3.) Chat With Fans & Followers On Social Media: Many people forget that building your salon business on social media works best when you are actually social. That means that it isn’t just a one-way stream of communication. How about you log into Twitter, look for somebody who has ReTweeted or Liked a comment you have made and then simply ask them a question?

Keep it light and fun. Do this with a handful of people and soon enough you will find that you’ll be in the midst of a variety of fun, light conversations with people that could eventually book an appointment with your salon.

4.) Comment On Blogs By Industry Leaders: Industry leaders and high profile personalities could really help you grow your salon business. And all you have to do is give them some attention. Simply locate any bloggers or YouTubers who have a nice following (try to keep it localised to your city if you can). And then begin commenting on their posts.

When you show them that you are listening to what they are saying, they will be quicker to listen to what you have to say (just like in real life, right?).

5.) Create Your To-Do List: I’m a big fan of To-Do Lists. However, I feel like a To-Do List carries a lot of demand behind it. So why don’t we call it a Make-Things-Happen List instead? Now just put down some ideas and email it to yourself so that you can get some good momentum for the week.

6.) Research Salon Software: If you don’t currently use salon software, or you find the software you are using isn’t doing what you’d like it to, then why not look up some reviews online and see if there is a superior alternative. Alternatively, you could request a call back from us and we’ll give you a call and find out if what we offer is right for you.

Simply drop your info in the demo form below!

If you have our software, you should download Phorest Go on your smartphone or iPad and see what appointments you and the team has the next day or run some reports to get a birds-eye view of your salon.

7.) Read Past Articles On The Phorest Blog: We put out three articles each week, centered around helping your salon become a business that your clients simply cannot live without. I also strive to ensure that the material I put out doesn’t go ‘out-of-date.’ So why not check out some of our earlier posts tonight.

And that aughta do it! Hope that helps. Enjoy the next episode while growing your salon business! 😉
