Move one step closer to your paperless salon
While consultations help build relationships and trust, they also ensure risk assessments are done, provide essential information to therapists and stylists about the types of products and treatments that can be performed, and are an excellent resource for making recommendations and retailing products.
If you take Beaute Industrie’s Founding Director & Community Creator Tamara Reid’s advice, you should allocate 15-20 minutes to a first-time consultation aside from the treatment or service itself. All of those consultations need to be documented, which is a lot of paper to store safely and securely, not to mention the impact on the environment and the challenges that this can pose in a pandemic world where we try to minimise unnecessary contact.
Your challenge: If you haven’t already done so, move your paper digital consultation forms to a digital format. If this is a functionality that your software provider can help you with, great! Start there and engage in a conversation about it. If you can’t do this with your current software provider, consider looking into what’s within your budget and available in your region.
The beauty of going digital means you can pre-send the forms you need to be filled out by clients, and in turn, they can seamlessly fill in or update their required details. This allows you to get all the information you need to prepare for the appointment before they arrive at your salon. Your staff can then review the completed forms on their own devices, using Phorest GO.
If you are a Phorest client, you can go completely paperless, with all of your digitally signed and filled-in forms stored instantly on the client card. Tailor consultation forms by frequency, whether required at every visit or valid for a year or more and have access to the full history, including any staff notes added after said consultation.
