Start Thinking About Christmas Shoppers Today

Here we go again. It seems like only yesterday that I was taking down the Christmas tree. So you can imagine my shock when I realised it’s almost time to whip it back out again. The shops are full of Christmas shoppers. As crazy as that sounds you need to be ready for them…

 People are looking for the perfect gifts and the problem is that ‘A confused mind can’t make a decision’? There are so many shops offering a hundred different things.

That’s where you can have the advantage because if there is too much on offer we tend to buy nothing.

Take for example a high street store that has rails and rails of clothes, I don’t know about you but I would walk in, and walk straight out again. Too much choice is confusing and distracting. Simplicity is key to grabbing attention. Have you ever noticed that you sell more when there is less on offer? In retrospect I think you’ll find that your best promotions were the simple ones. The phrase ‘Less is more’ is more than appropriate in these situations.

So you need to get thinking about what you want to offer: hampers, product packs, vouchers…and you need to start ordering the material now. Don’t wait a minute longer because Christmas won’t wait for you to catch up. It will happen with or without you.
