Why Sending a Reminder is So Important

I’m a few wisdom teeth away from being finished with my dentist for the foreseeable future. However, I should be finished with them already.

I’m not the kind of person that would “no show” on purpose. Working with salon owners has taught me the importance of honouring my appointments. So I was horrified when I realised that’s exactly what I have done. I skipped my dental appointment!

Not on purpose mind you. I am used to receiving a confirmation text from them, and this time I didn’t I’d forgotten my date and time. It’s written on my calendar and I didn’t mean to not show up. What happened was that they didn’t send me my confirmation text, so I forgot to double check for appointments.

Your clients will be similar. The majority have the best intentions, so sending a quick reminder is a great way to nudge them along. Most people don’t want to put you out, but everyone forgets and it’s so important that you do everything you can to ensure all the appointments you’ve taken the time to book in, turn up.
